Michel was reacting to the common refrain of Ghanaian Christians whenever a young person abruptly dies, which is expressed through the saying ‘God giveth and God taketh away

 Speaking in an interview on Hitz Fm, Majid said that conclusion Christians draw is erroneous because God doesn’t take anything from anyone.

He said Job is the one who made that statement out of pain of losing all he has hence it shouldn’t be attributed to God.I don’t believe in ‘you don’t know what will happen tomorrow, God gives and God takes.’ That is a lie!” Majid said. “It was Job that made that statement.

 That ‘God gives and God takes’ statement, Job said it out of anguish! It was Job’s words and now we have made it a doctrine. It’s false.”
